Social Impact Report

The Social Performance Report 2010-2013 is out! This is the first social performance report by Fairtrade Africa, to gather first hand producers’ satisfaction levels on aspects such as service delivery, capacity building, market and price information and their co-ownership of the system.

74% of those producer organizations that responded to our survey were satisfied with Fairtrade Africa services.  32% believe that the greatest impact of Fairtrade Africa’s service delivery was around increasing awareness and participation in Fairtrade Africa’s activities.

The report also found that around one third of Fairtrade producer organisations in the Western, Eastern and Southern regions of Africa had received some form of capacity building. Notably, this was either through the Technical Assistance Fund, the African Fairtrade Convention (AFC) or individually funded projects and programmes. Read more here.
